Cycle – Deniz Bayav
Deniz Bayav was born in 1980 in Merzifon, Turkey. She lives and works in France. She holds a doctorate in plastic arts from Marmara University (Istanbul), specializing in painting and printmaking.
The artist has exhibited in Istanbul, Toronto and internationally at fairs, biennales and art galleries. Her works can be found in numerous collections, including Bradley University, Suites Art Gallery, Alfredo Guati Rojo National Watercolor Museum, Luis Noboa Naranjo Museum, Ilhan Koman Painting and Sculpture Museum, Elhovo Town Hall, Marie de Luleburgaz, Osman Inci Museum.
Since 2006, Deniz Bayav has been teaching painting, printmaking and drawing at Trakya University (Thrace) in the Painting Department in Edirne, where she is a full professor. During the 2018-2019 academic year she worked as a “visiting professor” at the University of Paris 8 in the Plastic Arts department. During the 2023-2024 academic year, she is a “visiting professor” at the École Supérieure d’Art | Dunkerque-Tourcoing.
